DAY 1: Mistake 1- Not making your Mobile presence your number 1 priority presence.

(Top 10 Mistakes when utilizing Mobile… other than not being Mobile.)
DAY 1: Mistake 1- Not making your Mobile presence your number 1 priority presence.

Mobile by far is no longer the third screen. In fact it is now the 1st screen. No other device, including T.V, gets more attention or more views than the average consumer’s Mobile phone. One of the biggest mistakes that we see when companies begin to utilize Mobile in their business is not properly or sometimes none at all marketing their Mobile Medium. If you have an app developed then everything you do to market should be based around the download of your app and nothing should be given away unless the app is at the center stage.

5 Tips When Launching Your Mobile App:

1.       On all of your websites, social media, print media, email lists, air time and so on your app should be very visible to ensure that your app is center stage. Make sure that your app is easy to get to, use QR codes and Mobile web sites to ensure easy access to your app.
2.       Make sure that you have in-store collateral all over the place promoting your app and make sure your staff is trained to properly promote the app.
3.       Please make sure that your app is grammatically accurate and all your buttons and features are working properly.
4.       Have clear concise calls to action in your app. This will allow you to direct traffic to important parts or sales pieces.
5.       ENSURE VALUE: There needs to be more of a reason than just “hey we got a cool app”. Value does not always have to mean freebies or discounts. A community initiative or just good valuable content that will allow consumers to be educated or informed can be great tools.

Remember it is all about being creative and getting them engaged. It’s also all about putting that app first in your marketing thoughts and plans. Partnering with a good app development firm helps. But NO ONE KNOWS YOUR BUSINESS AND YOUR CONSUMER BETTER THAN YOU... Or at least they shouldn’t.
