What if 66% of the World
Did Not Believe in God & How Can Mobile Bring Them Back?
Touchy subject I know but the
reality is that about 66% of today’s teens “13-18” DO NOT believe in God. Just
Google it and look at the studies, it is truly shocking. I talk to a lot of
Churches on a weekly basis and the number one statement I hear is “Our Church
is primarily an older community so a Mobile App would not help us”. Does that
not scare you as a Church leader? Does it not frighten you that once your “older
community” begins to depart this Earth your Church could be left with empty pews
in a Godless society? The cold hard truth is that we all must die at some
point, so if we are to continue to spread the word, we must find a way to bring
back those 66% of teens to God.
So what can we do?
·
Be more engaging with youth in services and
groups
· Reach out to them on their level and through a communication channel they use, Mobile
· Make the whole experience more fun
· Allow for more interaction during points of engagement
· Allow them to create their own Mobile Communities
· Reach out to them on their level and through a communication channel they use, Mobile
· Make the whole experience more fun
· Allow for more interaction during points of engagement
· Allow them to create their own Mobile Communities
Mobile can help you achieve all
these goals within your youth community.
With roughly 80% of today’s teens owning a
mobile phone, you cannot afford to not be reaching out to them through it.
Mobile doesn’t hold all answers
but it is the key to beginning to reach out to your teens. You may say that is
not how your Church wants to communicate. But it is not your decision, it is
theirs. And if you don’t make adjustments to how you communicate within your
Church community you may find that that community is no longer there.
