It’s Friday so we’ve decided to serve up a smorgasbord of favorite facts about the addiction that is Mobile.

  •    The equivalent of 45% of the planet will send an SMS at some time today.
  •  There is now one cell phone for every two humans on Earth. That's 3.3 billion active cell phones on a planet  of some 6.6 billion humans in about 26 years.
  • More than 30 African nations have more cell phones than land lines.
  • More than 1,000 cell phones are activated each minute.
  • An iPhone now has more processing power than the North American Air Defense Command did in 1965
  • Up to 60% of the radiation emitted by a typical mobile phone, (enough to cause heating), will be absorbed by the user’s head? ( Source:Dataflow)
  •  Did you know that you use your phone so much that it may carry as many as 10 times the amount of bugs that cause stomach problems than a toilet?(Source:DailyMail,2012)
  •   The average person looks at their cell phone 150 times per day, works out to be once every 6.5 minutes of every hour the average person is awake. (Source:Phone Arena,2012)
Well there is one thing that has been definitely learned this week and that is that this addiction just might be here to stay.
·         The mobile industry is the fastest growing industry of all time going from zero to $1 trillion in 2010 and expected to double by 2020.(Source:PhoneArena,2012)
